Molokai Channel Swimmer Association Rules


  1. Start on land with no body of water behind and finish on land with no water beyond.  Once started, you cannot intentionally make physical contact with the boat or kayak or support crew. Swimmers must enter and exit the water under their own power.
  2. No swim aids are allowed (flotation devices, fins or propulsive assistance).  You may use a cap, goggles, nose/ear plugs, lubrication and stick/chem lights.  For safety reasons, no portable music with ear phones.
  3. Shark protection devices (Shark Shield or bracelet type) are allowed.
     Certification
         A completed verification form (see Verification Form tab), signed by the boat pilot/observer must be sent to our association.  Once received, the swimmer(s) will be listed on the Channel Swimmer List.  As a courtesy, I will notify the Hawaii Channel Association and Ka'iwi Channel Association so our lists are
